The Gwinnett Braves lost their second game in a row, a 4-3 defeat to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs in the first game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, Pa.
With the victory, the Iron Pigs (26-16) extended their win streak to fif games to remain in first place in the International League North. The G-Braves (22-20) remain in second place in the IL South.
Rodrigo Lopez (6-1) gave up four runs on nine hits in six innings while striking out four.
Mauro Gomez hit a two-run homer in the first inning and every G-Brave in the starting lineup got a hit.
The G-Braves and Iron Pigs play again today at 1:35 p.m.
