The Gwinnett Braves fell for the third consecutive game, losing 6-5 to the Toledo Mud Hens on Sunday in Lawrenceville.
Mike Minor started for Gwinnett and left with a 4-3 after five innings, scattering eight hits and striking out three. But the G-Braves’ bullpen couldn’t hold the lead, as Anthony Vavaro (0-5) and Juan Abreu yielded three unanswered runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
Brandon Hicks led the offense, homering for the third time in six games since being sent down from Atlanta.
The G-Braves wrap up the series with Toledo with a 10:35 a.m. first pitch today.
