Willis qualifies for outdoorsman regional competition

Gainesville resident Jarod Willis has qualified to compete in Field & Stream’s Total Outdoorsman Challenge Regional Championship on June 26 in Leeds, Ala. The event is one of four regional qualifiers and the top three finishers in each event will advance to the Total Outdoorsman’s intensive final Championship event from Sept. 9-11 in Springfield, Mo. 

The competition consists of seven outdoor skill challenges: fly-fishing, bass fishing, rifle, shotgun, endurance, archery and ATV handling.

The winner will be declared Field & Stream’s Total Outdoorsman Champion and win a grand prize package including $25,000 and a trip to the 2010 CMA Country Music Awards.
