No. 5 Flowery Branch rolls to 23-7 win against Winder-Barrow

Fifth-ranked Flowery Branch beat Winder-Barrow 23-7 on Friday in Flowery Branch. 

The Falcons’ (3-0) win against the Bulldogs, a Class 6A program, was the highest classification win in school history. Jamal Larach put Flowery Branch on the board first when he nailed a 30-yard field goal. 

In the second quarter, Aaron Bagley put Winder-Barrow in the lead when he scored a touchdown run, making it a 7-3 game. Later in the game, Zarian Brawner had an 8-yard scoring run for the Falcons. Chandler Dial-Watson had an interception in the fourth quarter for Flowery Branch.

Flowery Branch visits Gainesville on Sept. 21 at Bobby Gruhn Field.
