Former Florida State University standout Matt Savage holds the clubhouse lead at 7-under par at the Milton Martin Honda Classic at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville after inclement weather caused the tournament to be delayed for the third consecutive day.

Steady rains early Saturday kept the NGA Tour field from finishing the second round, which will resume at 8:30 a.m. today. The third round is expected to begin at approximately noon today after the completion of the second round.

As of Saturday night, officials weren’t sure of the exact timing for the completion of the tournament, but expect that play will continue into Monday.

Savage finished the second round with a 5-under 66 to maintain the tournament lead, just one stroke ahead of Major Manning. Tyson Alexander, who did not finish his second round, is tied at second with Manning at 6-under.

Five golfers finished their second rounds tied for fourth in the competition at 5-under par. Justin Smith, Nick Rousey, Connor Arendell and Tyler Brown each shot a 67 in the second round to jump into the fray at the top of the pack. Scott Feaster held steady with a 1-under 70.

Gainesville amateur Jim Foote did not finish his second round on Saturday and is currently 1-under par, in line to make the cut (expected to be at 1-over).

North Hall graduate Jimmy Lloyd also did not finish his round. He finished the first round at even par.
