SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Padres have put pitcher Micah Owings on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm and called up right-hander Dale Thayer from Triple-A Tucson. The team made the moves Thursday before playing the Washington Nationals. Owings, a Gainesville High graduate, has a 2.79 ERA in six relief appearances this season.
