Thomas Niles is carving out quite a legacy at the University of Central Florida. This speedy 270-pound defensive lineman, who played his high school football at Gainesville, just earned Second-Team All-Conference honors in the American Athletic Conference for his efforts in 2014. As back-to-back conference champions, the Knights (9-3) will face N.C. State (7-5) in the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl at 8 p.m. Friday at Tropicana Field, the home stadium of the MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays.
