Gainesville High graduate Spencer Ralston carded a third-round 6-under par (66) Friday to take his total to 14-under par (202) and stands in a three-way tie for fourth place — one shot off the lead — at The Dogwood Invitational at the Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta.

Ralston’s first three rounds have been 69, 67 and 66, respectively.

Ralston, a rising University of Georgia sophomore, fired four straight birdies during his final nine holes the day and 32 on that side of the course.

During the first nine holes, he had a pair of birdies. Ralston finished with no bogeys on his card for the day and just three total during the first 54 holes.

On Thursday, Ralston, who made the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team in 2017, had four birdies spread out also over the final nine holes.

Ralston is tied for fourth place with Georgia Tech’s Luke Schneiderjans and Duke’s Chandler Eaton.

In first place are Lloyd Jefferson Go (Seton Hall), Dawson Armstrong (Lipscomb University) and Gaston Bertinotti (Campbell University), all standing at 15-under par after three rounds.

The final round is Saturday at Druid Hills Golf Club.
