On Sunday, East Hall High graduate Sterling Bailey was added to the nine-member practice squad for the Indianapolis Colts.
A defensive end with eight tackles in four preseason games with the Colts, Bailey was waved by the team Saturday when it made the final roster cut from 75 to 52 for the regular season.
In addition to Bailey, the Colts added inside linebacker Trevor Bates, safety Lee Hightower, tight end Mike Miller, cornerback Christopher Milton, defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles, guard Adam Redmond, wide receiver Tevaun Smith and tackle Jeremy Vujnovich to the practice squad.
As a member of the practice squad, Bailey is not eligible to play in games, but could be activated if injury arises at his position.
The Colts open the regular season Sept. 11 against the Detroit Lions at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
