The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played this week at Lanier Golf Club in Cumming.

First place went to the team of Larry Miller, Tom Sexton, Johnny Nix and Johnny Crumley. Second place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Nelson Wright, Mark Thorton and Don Rogers. Third place went to the team of Randy Gordy, Joe Campbell, Frank House and Doug Van.

Closest to the pin winners were Sexton (No. 2, No. 17), Tommy Lowery (No. 10) and Stan Davidson Sr. (No. 8)

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low net, low gross game Tuesday at Chatthoochee Golf Course.

In the first flight, Beulah Land won the low gross and Ethel Smith won the the low net.

In the second flight, Nancy Norris won the low gross and Nora Gleason won the low net.

The closest to the pin winner was Johann Stone on No. 12.

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played its monthly individual flighted strokes competition Wednesay at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Buzz Hansen won the white tee first flight. Gene Weschler, John Williams and Warren Jahn tied for second.
In the white tee second flight, Carlyle Cox and John Keyse finished tied for first. Eddie Johnson and Johnny Little tied for second.

Jim Hollobaugh won the gold tee first flight. Ed Pledger finished second, while Bob Henderson and Ben Brooks tied for third.

Jere Cochran and Tony Denote finished tied for first in the gold tee second flight. John T. Smith finished third while Wayne Nelson and Leo Whalen tied for fourth.

Closest to the pin winners were J.B. Johnston (No. 3), Denote (No. 5), Paul Payne (No. 12) and Eddie Johnson (No. 17).

The Wednesday Dogfight golf group played this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

The team of Walter Hope, Tim Reed and Terry Clegg finished first.

The team of Dave Seller, Keith Fitzgerald and Jerry Horton and the team of Roger Stapp, Dan Arthurs and Frank Bambarger tied for second.

Reed finished first overall individually, Fitzgerald finished second, Stapp and Bill Jorgensen finished third and Clegg finished fifth.
