Three Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club paddlers secured an opportunity to make the Dragon Boat USA National Team while participating in a camp held at the Clarks Bridge Olympic Center last weekend.
Alejandro Schwedhelm, Sheaffer Sorrrells and Jim O’Dell each rated and scored high enough during the camp to earn the opportunity.
Dragon Boast USA, based in Philadelphia, is in the process of establishing the National Team which will compete at the 2010 International Canoe Federation World Championships in Hungary Aug. 27-29.
