Jefferson’s 14-year-old All-Star team, the Dragons, defeated Powder Springs 12-2 by mercy rule on Saturday in the second round of the Dizzy Dean state tournament.

Chandler Thompson picked up the win and Keenan Lord led the Dragons with three hits.

Jefferson will host Rome at 2:15 p.m. today in a third round matchup.
