Lcoal golf: Luna's group plays 'Hooch

The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played this week at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Bud Black, Randy Gordy, Joe Campbell and Juan Luna. Second place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Steve Hill, Sam McGee and Doug McMahan. Third place went to the team of Nelson Wright, Tom Sexton, Norm Nichols and Ken Chahoy.

Closest to the pin winners were Stan Davidson Jr. (No. 3), Sexton (No. 5), Anthony Barrett (No. 12) and Johnny Nix (No. 17).

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a three best ball net strokes game Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Johnny Little, Ed Pledger and Bud Clegg. Second place went to the team of Tony Denote, Joe Kolesar, Robert Mallis and John Beem.

Third place went to the team of Denny Momper, Carlyle Cox, Eddie Johnson and Harry Barnett, Fourth place finished a team between the team of Ben Brooks, Bob Layne, Bill Ingram and Leo Whalen and the team of J.B. Johnston, Rolf Legbandt, Ron Hopley and Don Gage.

Closest to the pin winners were David Myers (No. 3), Denote (No. 5), Bill Kinser (No. 12) and Legbandt (No. 17).

The Wednesday Dogfight Golf Group played this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Gayle Gibson, Roger Stapp and Frank Bambarger. Second place went to the team of Terry Clegg, Tim Reed and Jim Arendt.

Dan Arthurs finished first individually. Second place finished between Arendt, Gibson and Robert Urscher. Third place also finished in a tie, between Keith Mangum, Clegg and Bambarger.

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association palyed a low gross, low net game Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

In the first flight, Sue Cronmiller won the low gross and Violet Reynolds won the low net.

In the second flight, Betty Norton won the low gross and Sissy Lawson won the low net.

Closet to the pin winners were Peggy Hall (No. 3) and Beulah Land (No. 17).
