The Jefferson Dragons 13-year-old All-Stars finished third in the Dizzy Dean World series last weekend in Southaven, Miss.

Jefferson, the Dizzy Dean Georgia state champion, advanced to the semifinals of the 18-team tournament, picking up 13 straight wins along the way. Jefferson was eliminated by eventual World Series champion New Orleans in a 5-2 loss Friday.

Pitcher Robert Hayes, shortstop Keenan Lord and outfielders Tyler Cole and Satchel Turpin were named to the All-Tournament team.
