Iron Dawgs enjoy big day at Georgia Games

Each member of the Hall County-based IronDawgs Powerlifting team won gold medals in the Georgia Games weightlifting competition, held Saturday at Riverside Military Academy.

Tim Moon of Gainesville had the heaviest bench press of the day, winning both the master’s 45-49 year-old and Open in the 275-pound equipped bench-only class with a press of 250 kg (551.15 pounds).

East Hall graduate Tyler Brown won two golds in the teen superheavyweight full-power and bench-only equipped classes.

Oakwood’s R. Garry Glenn won the open and master’s 55-59 year-old equipped, bench-only 198-pound class with a personal record press of just over 380 pounds.
