MACON — The most crucial pass in West Hall’s 3-1 Class AAA state championship win over Calhoun was a blind guess, according to striker Sammy Coto. Coto said he heard a voice behind him yelling to pass seconds before he played teammate Isaac Castruita into the penalty box in the 55th minute of Saturday’s championship game at Mercer University Five Star Stadium. Coto, on the edge of the 18-yard box, said he couldn’t locate the voice, but made the pass through to where he thought Castruita would be.
