The talent of area senior basketball players will be on full display today.

Gainesville High will host the sixth annual North Georgia All-Star Classic, which pits boys and girls teams comprised of Hall County players against those featuring seniors from the surrounding area.

Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a 3-point shootout, followed with a slam dunk contest set for 2 p.m. The girls all-star game will tip off at 3 p.m., with the boys game getting underway immediately afterward.

The designated home teams will be those from Hall County, while the visiting teams are made up of players from the surrounding area.

The boys home team will be coached by East Hall’s Joe Dix, and West Hall coach Bryan Richerson will lead the girls home team.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for children 5-and-under. Doors open at noon.
