Class A’s Eighth ranked Jefferson High baseball team kept their region record flawless with a 9-0 win against Commerce on Tuesday night in Commerce.

Chris Beck led the Dragons (9-3, 8-0 Region 8-A) at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs. Anthony Dowker was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and Jake Fields was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Lucas Redd and Blaine Skaggs each had two hits.

Skaggs picked up the win for Jefferson with four strikeouts in three innings pitched.

Jefferson visits Athens Christian at 5 p.m. Thursday. Commerce (1-7, 1-10 Region 8-A) visits Social Circle at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

White County girls 12, Gilmer 2

Anna Herdliska scored twice and Paige Parks scored one goal and had one assist for the Lady Warriors on Tuesday night in Cleveland.

Krista Spear, Sam Ballinger, Brie Ballinger, Katie Connor, Megan Powell, Kat Sheridan, Katie Sellari and Hannah Kimbrell each scored once for White County (5-8, 3-6 Region 7-AAA).

White County visits Pickens at 7 p.m., Thursday.
