Gainesville High’s Morgan Reece completed the Atlanta Junior Golf Summer Tournament Series with a seventh place finish in the club division’s season end Invitational Championship.

Reece competed in seven tournaments, winning two and placing in the top 5 at the other four tournaments.
Her first win came at the Chattahoochee Golf Club, in which she shot a career-low of 82. The next week, she carded an 87 to take first place at the Druid Hills Country Club.

She finished the season with a 88.3 stroke average, ranking third among more than 50 girls ages 13-18.

Reece is a rising sophomore at Gainesville High and will continue to compete this fall and winter in two-day tournaments before the 2012 varsity season begins.
