The Georgia High School Preseason Cross Country rankings were released Monday. Ten local teams were represented in the polls.

The West Hall girls are ranked No. 2, which is the highest ranking of any local team.

In Class AA, the boys and girls teams from Buford and Dawson County were ranked in the Georigia high school cross country top 10.

The Buford girls are at No. 4, while the Buford boys came in at No. 6. The Dawson County boys and girls are both ranked No. 10.

The North Hall boys are ranked No. 3, while the girls come in at No. 7. Both Trojan teams finished second in Class AAA a year ago.

Also in Class AAA, the West Hall boys and the Chestatee girls both start out the season in the top ten, at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively.

The Flowery Branch boys are ranked No. 3 in Class AAAA to start off the season.
