Prep scoreboard: White County wins first region game against Pickens

CLEVELAND — White County’s Josh Ingram went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and 3 RBIs in White County’s 11-7 win against Pickens on Friday night in Cleveland.

The Warriors’ Bart Westmoreland went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. White County’s (3-3, 1-1 Region 7-AAA) Jesse Brown had a three-run home run. Casey Jones and Zach Messmore each added two hits for the Warriors.

White County freshman David Sosebee picked up the win in his career.

White County travels to Johnson at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

East Hall 9, Johnson 5

Zeb Miller stroked his third home run of the season and finished with a 2-for-4 night at the plate for the Vikings (3-3, 2-0 Region 7-AAA) on Friday night at East Hall Park.

Cody Davidson was 3-for-5 with two doubles for East Hall. He earned the win with two innings pitched in relief and only allowed one earned run.

Jimmy Byers was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Vikings.

East Hall visits Flowery Branch at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Johnson plays host to White County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

TENNIS

Lakeview Academy boys 4, Tallulah Falls 1 (Thursday)

Nekhil Patel and Mike Fowler each won singles matches for the Lions in their win over Tallulah falls on Thursday. In doubles, the teams of Sean Casey/Todd Williams and Alex Klecan/Matt Morris each won to clinch the overall win for Lakeview.

Lakeview Academy girls 5, Tallulah Falls 0

Nancy Lewallen, Niki Patel and Liz Presley each won singles matches for the Lions in their over Tallulah Falls on Thursday.

In doubles, the teams of Molly Smith/Jackie Burleson and Paige Atherton/Nyari Chanakira each won to complete the sweep for Lakeview.
