The Flowery Branch High baseball team extended its winning streak to 13 games in Region 7-AAA with a 6-1 win against Johnson on Saturday at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex in Flowery Branch.
Patrick Henry, a Valdosta State signee, pushed his record to 9-0 this season for the Falcons (21-2, 17-2) with eight strikeouts on the mound and only allowed five hits.
Henry, Danny Price, Greg Palmer, Travis Coxworth and Cameron Wilson each had a hit for Flowery Branch.
Flowery Branch visits West Forsyth at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Cumming. Johnson plays host to North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Oakwood.
Chestatee 7, West Hall 2
Kevin Clifford earned the win for the War Eagles Saturday night throwing 6 Ã innings and only allowed four hits at War Eagles Field. Kurt Stevenson earned the save for Chestatee.
Joey Switzer led the War Eagles (4-17, 3-16 Region 7-AAA) with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Ryan Avery was 2-for-4 with a run scored and also drove in a run.
James Kibbler had a single, double and two RBIs for Chestatee.
Chestatee visits Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Ellijay.
North Hall 10, Pickens 1 (Friday)
Davis Partrick, a junior, picked up a complete-game victory for the Trojans allowing five hits and only walking three Friday night at Jody Davis Field.
Josh Haymore led North Hall (15-8, 12-7 Region 7-AAA) at the plate with a single, double and two runs scored.
Trojans sophomore short stop K.J. McAllister added a two run home run.
Trey Pinson had a single, double and two RBIs for the Trojans.
North Hall visits Johnson at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Oakwood.
