Flowery Branch senior Patrick Henry went 3-for-3 with a three-run home run, two doubles and four RBIs in a 10-0 win against West Hall on Friday night in Oakwood. With the win, the Falcons (18-2, 14-2 Region 7-AAA) extended their current win streak to 10 games dating back to a loss at Gilmer on March 24.
Brad Stone and Danny Price each went 2-for-3 for Flowery Branch against the Spartans.
Mason Roberts earned the win throwing four innings and collecting four strikeouts on the mound.
Flowery Branch plays host to Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex in South Hall. West Hall visits North Hall at 7 p.m. Monday at Jody Davis Field.
East Hall 5, Lumpkin County 4
East Hall’s Billy Satterfield had a game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday night.
Jimmy Byers led the Vikings (7-13, 6-10 Region 7-AAA) at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Ken Wise added a double for East Hall.
Wise also picked up the win for East Hall in relief for Chris Cornett, who pitched six innings with no earned runs and four strikeouts.
Quentin Self was 2-for-3 with a double for the Indians (9-10, 7-9).
East Hall visits Chestatee at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Lumpkin County plays host to White County at 5:45 p.m. Monday.
Jefferson 11, Hebron Academy 1
Jefferson’s Chris Beck threw four innings and allowed only three hits Friday night to improve his record to 6-0 on the season. Beck also had a two-run home run for Class A No. 7-ranked Jefferson (14-3, 13-0 Region 8-A).
Anthony Dowker, Beck, Jake Fields each finished the game with two hits for the Dragons.
Jefferson visits Commerce at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
