Prep roundup: Lakeview cruises past PACS

The Lakeview Academy girls basketball team picked up a win against Prince Avenue Christian 54-27 Saturday night in Gainesville.

Louisa Jacobs led the Lady Lions (8-7) with 14 points and Maddie Haymore added 12.

Lakeview Academy took control of the game early with a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and extended its lead to 28-14 by halftime.

Lakeview Academy plays host to Jefferson at 6 p.m. Tuesday night in Gainesville.

Prince Avenue Christian 32

Lakeview senior David Pruett led all scorers with 29 points en route to a win Saturday night in Gainesville. The Lions (13-7, 5-0 Region 8N-A) wasted no time putting the game out of reach with a 21-7 lead after the first quarter.

Lakeview Academy plays host to Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in Gainesville.

North Hall girls 51,
West Forsyth 48

North Hall senior Letiecia Davenport led all scorers with 27 Saturday night. Elizabeth Williams added eight points and nine assists for the Lady Trojans (14-6, 4-2 Region 7A-AAA)

North Hall visits Chestatee at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Marist boys 64,
Flowery Branch 55

Tied after three quarters, the Falcons (17-3) were outscored 18-9 in the fourth quarter in Atlanta on Saturday.

Phillips Chau, A.C. Bailey and Izaan Cross each scored 12 for Flowery Branch. Josh Barrett added nine for the Falcons.

Flowery Branch visits Johnson at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in Oakwood.

Gainesville boys 70,
Pickens 37 (Friday night)

The Red Elephants were led by George Manomano who hit for 19 points and Gerald Ford who added 13 in their win Friday night in Jasper.

After ending the first quarter tied at 14, Gainesville (10-9, 3-2 Subregion 7A-AAA) outscored Pickens 46-16 over the next two quarters.
