University of South Carolina signee Sada Wheeler led the three East Hall scorers in triple digits, all seniors, with 24 points Wednesday night en route to a 60-49 win against West Hall in Valhalla. Tierra Benton added 20 points for the Lady Vikings (9-4) and Jessica Blackwell had 10.
After leading 28-23 at halftime, East Hall outscored the Spartans (5-6) in the third quarter to extend its lead to 45-34. Kim Smigelsky led West Hall with 18 points, and Jayla Moon added 16. East Hall visits Johnson at 7 p.m. on Friday in Oakwood. West Hall plays host to Chestatee at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Trevor Bishop led the Vikings (8-4) with 17 points and Ken Wise added 14 on Wednesday night in Valhalla. Kiante Young and Dedric Ware each contributed 13 for East Hall. The Vikings led 21-15 after the first period, and pushed their lead to 46-31 at halftime. East Hall visits Johnson at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. West Hall plays host to Chestatee at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
Gainesville girls 47, Gilmer 35
Jaymee Carnes led the No. 7 ranked Lady Red Elephants (9-3) with 17 points and seven rebounds on Wednesday night in Gainesville. Madison Strickland had eight points and six rebounds for Gainesville.
The Lady Red Elephants took command of the game early with a 17-2 lead over the sixth ranked Bobcats (10-2) after the first period. Gainesville managed to extend its lead to 30-11 by halftime.
Taylor Ricketts and Kiki Thompson each added eight points for the Red Elephants.
Gainesville visits North Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Gainesville boys 70, Gilmer 30
George Manomano led the Red Elephants (6-5) with a game-high 16 points on Wednesday night in Gainesville. Allan Dockery and Grahman Williams each scored 10 for Gainesville.
Gerald Ford scored nine points for the Red Elephants, and Martin Estes added eight. Gainesville led 28-14 at halftime, and extended its lead to 50-21 after three quarters.
Gainesville visits North Hall at 8:30 p.m. on Friday night.
Buford boys 76, Walker 52
The Wolves overcame a first quarter deficit by scoring 22 points in the second quarter en route to victory on Wednesday night in Buford. Josh Penland led the Wolves (4-5) with 14 points and T.J. Flowers added 13.
Buford visits Creekview at 8:30 p.m. on Friday night in Canton.
Buford girls 67, Walker 34
Jocelyn Danley led Class AA’s third ranked Lady Wolves with 15 points and Blanche Alverson added 13 on Wednesday night in Buford.
The Lady Wolves (9-1, 5-0 Region 6-AA) erupted with 25 points in the second quarter to extend its lead to 43-14 going into halftime.
The Lady Wolves visit Creekview at 7 p.m. on Friday.
