The Buford girls won their third game of the season Friday, beating Pace Academy 53-23 at home.

The Lady Wolves (3-1, 3-0 Region 6-AA) kept all of Pace Academy’s scorers in single digits.

Blanche Alverson led Buford with 17 points and Jocelyn Danley added 11.

The Lady Wolves will be back in action tonight against Padeia at 6 at Agnes Scott College.

Jackson County 49,
Alcovy 29

Freshman forward Brianna Drew led the Lady Dragons (4-2) with 14 points Friday night in Covington. Senior Alyssa Esco added 11 for the Lady Panthers.

Jackson County visits Habersham Central at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Lumpkin County 60,
Union County 58 OT

Ashley Brown led the Lady Indians with 19 points, five assists, five steals and six blocked shots in Lumpkin County’s (3-3) overtime win Friday night.

Lacey Wallingford added 17 for the Lady Indians and Cara Malone 10.

Lumpkin County returns to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday when it plays host to Pickens.

Westfield School 51,
Riverside boys 39

The Riverside Military Academy boys basketball team lost its first game of the season.

The Eagles (2-1) were led by Charlie Riley, who scored 12 points. Westfield was led by John Peake, 14 points, and Matthew Amrit, 11 points.

Riverside plays host to Mount de Sales today at 5:30.

Franklin County 64,
Jefferson 53

Chase Harris and Darius Minor each scored 16 points for Jefferson on Friday night.

Despite being tied at the half, Franklin County handed the Dragons their second loss this season.

Jefferson plays host to Oconee County at 7:30 tonight.
