Brooke Smith has assumed the head coaching responsibilities for the North Hall High softball team, principal Joe Gheesling announced Wednesday.

Smith is taking over for Bruce King, who stepped down as the head softball coach to devote more time to his assistant coaching duties with the Trojans baseball team.

Smith graduated from North Hall in 2004 and attended Piedmont College on an athletic scholarship. She served as an assistant coach last season and is currently a teacher at Myers Elementary School.

The Lady Trojans finished last season at 9-15.
