North Hall earns boys, girls soccer wins at Lumpkin County

The North Hall girls soccer team earned its fifth straight shutout with a 3-0 win against Lumpkin County on Friday night in Dahlonega.

Julia Matthews, Tess Patton and Allie Wright each scored for the sixth-ranked Lady Trojans.

North Hall returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson. Lumpkin County next plays at 6 p.m. Tuesday at West Forsyth.

Trojans pull of upset in Dahlonega 

The North Hall boys soccer team got scoring contributions from Payne Wright and Miguel Morales on its way to a 2-0 upset of ninth-ranked Lumpkin County on Friday night in Dahlonega.

Wright gave the Trojans (8-6, 5-3 Region 7-AAA) the lead five minutes. Morales’ goal came shortly after, giving North Hall a two-goal advantage by halftime.

Both teams return to action Tuesday with North Hall at Johnson and Lumpkin County (8-4, 3-4) at West Forsyth.
