Johnson High makes girls basketball coaching change
Bays, Lady Knights struggled to 1-47 record over past two seasons

The Johnson girls basketball team will be under new guidance next season.

Principal Stan Lewis and Athletic Director Matt Stowers announced Thursday night that Kory Bays will not return as coach after the Lady Knights posted a 1-47 record over the past two seasons.

Bays spent five seasons as Johnson’s coach, tallying a 25-101 record. His best season at Johnson was in 2010-11, when he guided the Lady Knights to a 15-12 record.

Bays came to Johnson after recording 151 wins at Warner Southern College.
