After defeating defending state champion Gainesville on April 16, the Johnson boys soccer team moved up one spot to No. 4 in Class AAA in the latest Georgia High School Coaches Poll, released Monday.
The Red Elephants (13-3, 10-1 Area 8-AAA) fell one spot to No. 5. The Johnson girls (12-3-1, 10-2) fell three spots to No. 9 after losing to unranked Gainesville on April 16.
In Class AAAA, the Habersham Central boys (13-4, 9-1 Area 8-AAAA) fell to No. 9, while in Class AA, the Union County boys (13-1, 6-0 Area 8-AA) moved up one spot to No. 8.
Also in AA, the Dawson County boys (9-5, 3-2) held steady at No. 10. On the girls side of Class AA, the Buford girls (11-4, 3-3) and Union County girls (12-2-1, 5-2) each fell one spot to No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.
