Johnson won three matches and lost one en route to a first-place finish in the silver bracket Saturday at the East Hall Spikefest.
The Lady Knights defeated Flowery Branch (25-15, 26-22), lost to Habersham Central (25-18, 25-10), defeated Lumpkin County (25-15, 25-16) and defeated East Hall (25-18, 20-25, 15-8).
Lejavian Ratliff tallied 14 kills and 14 blocks for Johnson, while Kelly Chance added five aces, five kills and 26 assists.
East Hall took second in the silver bracket. The Lady Vikings won against Lakeview (25-22,25-21), lost to Chestatee (19-25, 25-19, 25-18 and then lost to Jefferson (25-21, 23-25, 15-13), before bouncing back to beat Lakeview a second time in the semifinals of the silver bracket (25-23,25-22).
Leading the way for the Lady Vikings was Kara Hix, who had 17 points scored on serve and 129 digs on the day (new single playdate record for East Hall).
