HS Scoreboard: Riverside Military wins in extra innings as James Basham is perfect at the plate
Basham goes 4 for 4 with two doubles in 8-7 win over Rabun County

Riverside Military’s James Basham went 4 for 4 with two doubles and scored the walk-off run on a fielder’s choice in the eighth inning as the Eagles defeated Rabun County. 8-7, at Katterjohn Field.

Basham, Watson Thomas and Jack Sullivan combined for 11 hits and six RBIs.

Pitcher Alex Kerns threw four inning and allowed one run to get the win in relief.

EAST HALL 9, FANNIN COUNTY 2: Luke Cooper had three hits and two RBIs on Tuesday at East Hall Park.
Winning pitcher Eli Stuart went five inning and allowed two runs.

JACKSON COUNTY 16, HART COUNTY 1 (FOUR INNINGS): Jared Mackinnon went 2 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs on Tuesday.

Other notable performers for the Panthers (7-3-1, 4-0 8-AAA) were Brett Bowen (2 for 3, RBI, two runs scored), Ty Smith (2 for 2, RBI, three runs scored), Caleb Mathews (2 for 3, RBI, run scored) and Kyle Maxwell (1 for 1, double, three RBIs and a walk).

BANKS COUNTY 5, LUMPKIN COUNTY 2: Banks County pitcher Dylan Patrick earned the win on Tuesday at home.

Banks County (3-6, 1-3 7-AAA) visits Lumpkin County for a doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

OCONEE COUNTY 4, JEFFERSON 2: Will Breese and Joshua Hutch recorded the RBIs for Jefferson on Tuesday in Watkinsville.

Taylor Wilkes (two doubles), Hunter Thompson, Zac Corbin and Lane Watkins all had two hits apiece.

Jefferson (7-3, 3-1 8-AAA) hosts Oconee County for a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. on Friday.

ATHENS CHRISTIAN 19, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 10: Bailey Whitlock (3 for 5) and Rhett Kinsey (double) each had three RBIs on Tuesday.

Josh Henderson went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Logan Barwick went 2 for 5 with two runs scored.

The Lions were up 10-9 after two innings, but got outscored 10-0 in the final five innings.

Lakeview Academy (3-7, 0-2 8-A) hosts Athens Academy 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Taylor Buffington and Cindy Bonilla each scored a goal in the second half.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 2, CEDAR SHOALS 2 (4-3 PKs): Saul Minjares both goals for the Falcons (6-2, 4-0) on Tuesday at Cedar Shoals.

Dylan Windish and Fernando Castro each had an assist.

Goalkeeper Chewy Alvarado saved two penalty kicks and Bilind Amedi, Michael Nguyen, Francisco Berdecia and Luis Gonzalez each scored during the penalty shootout.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 10, CEDAR SHOALS 0: Allyson Lusco scored 3 goals. Caroline Wysocki and Mara Wheat each scored twice. Callie Huff, Halie Windish, and Morgan Wadsworth scored a goal apiece.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 9, RABUN COUNTY 0: Jorge Quesada had a hat trick and Elijah Crook score his first goal of the season on Tuesday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 6, WEST HALL 0: Carmen Wagner scored four goals in the first half with two assists from Meredith Tucker on Tuesday.

Tucker scored two goals in the second half with assists from Wagner.
