The Gainesville volleyball team picked up wins against Monroe Area 25-14, 25-17 and West Hall 25-19, 25-15.

Kaylin Walden led the Lady Red Elephants with 31 assists on the night.

Gainesville's Lauren Carter and Daphne Ragone each had five digs, while Anna Walker had 13 kills versus West Hall.

The Lady Spartans picked up a win against Monroe Area 25-17, 25-22.

West Hall's Stephanie Rowland had nine kills and four aces, while Summer Schmeltz tallied seven digs on the night.

Lakin Herford added 27 assist to go along with LeNiesha Kearse's five blocks on the night.

West Hall (23-3, 6-2 Area 8-AAA) hosts Winder-Barrow and South Gwinnett at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Gainesville (18-7, 5-1 Area 8-AAA) hosts Tallulah Falls for Senior Night at 5 p.m. today.

BUFORD WINS AT HOME: Maggie Roper had 10 kills, eight digs and three assists to lead the Lady Wolves to victory over Providence Christian 26-24, 25-17 on Tuesday in Buford.

Buford's Bailey Hicks added 18 assists and six digs to go along with Mikhayla Riegel's 12 digs.

Jessica Falletta and Erin Guiney had five kills and three digs each for the Lady Wolves.

Buford (11-8) plays in the Gwinnett County Championships at Collins Hill against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

LADY CHARGERS WIN IN FOUR: North Georgia Christian beat Loganville Christian 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, and 25-21 at home Tuesday night.

The Lady Chargers (7-3) travel to Rome on Saturday to play Unity Christian at Berry College.

NORTH HALL SPLITS TRI-MATCH: The Lady Trojans lost to Eastside 25-27,25-17,25-27 before beating Chestatee 25-17, 25-6 at home on Tuesday.

North Hall (15-13) plays West Hall in the Flowery Branch Invitational at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

FLOWERY BRANCH WINS TRI-MATCH: Senior Brittani Hill tallied 15 aces and 16 kills in two wins against Rabun County 25-15, 25-9 and Clarke Central 25-23, 25-14 on Senior Night at Flowery Branch.

Senior Kenzie Grewett led the Lady Falcons offensively during senior night with 20 assists, six kills and three aces.

Flowery Branch (10-12, 5-2 Area 8-AAAA) will host the Battle at The Branch at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

LADY LIONS TAKE ONE ON ROAD: The Lakeview volleyball team beat Madison County 25-22, 25-12 before losing to Heritage 25-10, 26-24 Tuesday night in Danielsville.

Jamie Nixon had nine kills, while Molly Gay and Bailey Towles tallied eight assists versus Madison County.

In their second match the Lady Lions' Katie White had 5 kills, Towles had 5 assists and Katie Zottnick had three digs.

Lakeview (11-10, 3-1 Area 8-A) host Tallulah Falls and Johnson at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

JEFFERSON WINS TWO: Jefferson picked up wins versus Athens Christian 25-10, 25-14 and North Oconee 23-25, 25-11, 25-16 Tuesday in Bogart.

Cassie Metcalfe had five aces and 12 kills for the Lady Dragons and Eden Starnes added six aces and 14 kills.

Jefferson (10-17, 7-2 Area 8-AA) travels to Oglethorpe County for a match at 5:30 p.m.

LADY VIKINGS DROP PAIR: East Hall lost to Habersham Central 25-14, 22-25 and Rockdale County 25-11, 25-13 on Tuesday in Mount Airy.

Kara Hix had one ace, six kills and three digs while Tarryn Long added two aces, four kills and three digs for the Lady Vikings.

East Hall (19-20, 4-1 Area 8-AA) hosts Lakeview and Chestatee at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Softball

BUFORD 8, DECATUR 0: On a Senior Night for the Buford softball team freshman Bria Bush threw five innings of no-hit baseball as the Lady Wolves beat Decatur 8-0 in five innings.

Senior Madyson Wynegar went 1 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs, while senior Kodi Ricketson 2 for 3 with an RBI for Buford.

Lady Wolves seniors Bailey Burnette and Aly Hicks each went 1 for 3.

The senior class has a 108-18-1 overall record, including a 29-1 mark in region play. The class also has three region and state championships and a 32-1 postseason record.

Buford (17-7, 2-1 Region 6-AA) plays in The Brookwood Tournament against Grayson at 5 p.m. and Northgate at 6:30 p.m. today.

WEST HALL 6, NORTH HALL 1: Ashley Neal went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and a home run and had four RBIs for the Lady Spartans.

Miranda Miller was the winning pitcher with three strikeouts.

West Hall (10-12, 4-6 Region 8-AAA) plays at Lanier at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.

JACKSON COUNTY 8, ELBERT COUNTY 0: Senior Haley Shinall went 2 for 3 and scored two runs for the Lady Panthers on Tuesday in Jefferson. She also pitched five innings, striking out 10 and allowing only one hit.

Jackson County's Mason Garland went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI.

The Lady Panthers (17-3 8-1 Region 8-AA) plays in the Brookwood Invitational Saturday and will face Whitewater, Kennesaw Mountain and South Gwinnett.
