Flowery Branch finished the first day of the Area 8-AAAAA Traditional tournament with 10 of 14 wrestlers still in the championship bracket and the other four still in contention for a top-4 spot in the consolation bracket in Flowery Branch. After two rounds in the championship bracket and one of wrestlebacks, six Falcons are still undefeated in the tournament. Ben Horton (126 pounds), Brady Dyer (145), Quentin Newman (160), Grant Simonds (182) and Devonte King (195) all ended the day with two pins and a 2-0 record.
