High school scoreboard: West Hall sweeps three-team duals

The West Hall High wrestling team swept a three-team duals meet with a 54-30 win over Eagles Landing Christian and a 52-28 win against Athens Christian on Friday in Athens.

Logan Herford and Rudy Vazquez each had two wins for the Spartans. Tanner Yates, Collins Wright, Chris Price and Omar Antonio each had one win for West Hall.

West Hall will participate in the North Oconee Duals at 9 a.m. today.

BASKETBALL

Dawson County boys 58, Gilmer 41

Ben Daniels scored 13 points and Jacob Evans added 11 points for the Tigers on Friday in Dawsonville.

Stephen Scaife also scored in double figures for Dawson County (3-1), with 10.

Chase Nunn led the Bobcats with 17 points. Ryan Lowery added 12 points.

Dawson County plays host to White County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

West Forsyth boys 48, White County 35

Ashley Lowery led the Warriors with nine points on Friday in Cleveland.

Tyler Dotson, Luke Crumley and Adam Hooper each added six points for White County (1-3).

White County visits Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. today.

Jefferson boys 62, Hart County 58

The Dragons used a late surge in the fourth quarter to take their first lead of the night with 27 seconds left and held on to win Friday night in Jefferson.

Darius Minor led Jefferson (3-1) with 21 points. Chris Beck had 13 points and Hoytez Damons added 10 points.

Terry Brewer led Hart County with 22 points.

Jefferson plays host to Commerce at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

North Georgia Christian girls 34, Horizon Christian 24

Katherine Dunlap scored 10 points and Hannah Parker added 13 rebounds for the Lady Chargers on Friday night in Gainesville.

Courtney Prausa led Horizon Christian with 16 points.

North Georgia Christian (6-2) plays host to Woody Gap at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
