Jayla Moon scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the West Hall Lady Spartans to a 55-53 overtime win over Monroe Area on Saturday at the East Jackson Tip-Off Tournament in Commerce.

Moon was also 14-of-16 from the free throw line. Natalie Jones (six points) hit two free throws with one second left in overtime to seal the win for West Hall (2-2), which finished in third place in the tournament.

The Lady Spartans play host to Lumpkin County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood.

North Hall girls 52, East Jackson 50

Taylor Tate scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Lady Trojans to a two-point win over East Jackson on Saturday at the East Jackson Tip-Off Tournament in Commerce.

Mallory Rich chipped in 13 points for North Hall (2-1).

The Lady Trojans begin play in the Lanierland Tournament on Friday at North Hall.

North Hall boys 59, Johnson 52

Led by Ethan Satterfield’s 10 points, North Hall won its final game of the East Jackson Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday in Commerce.

Matt Hollis scored 11 points and Devaris Finch added 10 for Johnson.

North Hall next plays in the Lanierland Tournament that starts Friday.

Milton girls 71, East Hall 60

Symone Hampton scored 14 and Hannah Strickland added nine for the Lady Vikings (1-1) on Saturday night at Valhalla. Kris Puthoff-King led the Eagles with 21 points and Danielle Pasquerello added 13.

Milton preserved the win by outscoring East Hall 21-15 in the fourth quarter.

East Hall plays next against an opponent to be determined in the Lanierland tournament on Friday at North Hall.

Milton boys 88, East Hall 75

Kiante Young scored 14 and Marguel Smith added 12 to lead the Vikings (1-1) on Saturday night at Valhalla. Kymon Woods scored 10 points for East Hall. The Vikings rallied to within 4 in the second half, despite shooting 16 percent in the first half.

Julian Royal led Class AAAAA’s No. 7 ranked Milton with 19 and Daijon Parker scored 13.

East Hall opens the Lanierland tournament against an opponent to be determined on Friday at North Hall.

Jefferson boys 49, Eastside 34

Chris Beck and Darius Minor each scored 14 to lead the Dragons (2-1) to a win in the Tabo’s Tip-Off Classic on Saturday in Jefferson. Jefferson preserved its victory by outscoring Eastside 20-9 in the fourth quarter.

Jefferson plays host to Hart County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday in Jefferson.
