Ashley Neal had a home run, a triple and five RBIs for the Lady Spartans.
West Hall (12-12, 6-6 Region 8-AAA) begins play in the region tournament on Monday.
JEFFERSON 5, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 1: Lindsey Miles went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Lady Dragons to a Senior Night victory.
Savannah Snapp was the winning pitcher with three strikeouts for Jefferson.
The Lady Dragons (11-17, 8-3 Region 8-AA) play in the region tournament against Banks County at Union County on Monday.
EAST HALL 14, RABUN COUNTY 1: Brittany Gee went 2 for 3 with three RBIs as the Lady Vikings secured a place in the region tournament for the first time in two years. Chassie Miller was 2 for 3 with a double.
East Hall (14-14-1) starts the region tournament on Monday.
WHITE COUNTY 5, LUMPKIN COUNTY 4: Callie McDonald pitched her fifth complete game of the season with nine strikeouts to lead the Lady Warriors to a win at home Thursday night. McDonald also had an RBI and scored a run. Morgan Jacobson scored a run and went 2 for 3.
White County (22-6, 9-3 Region 8-AAA) will host its region tournament starting Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Volleyball
WEST HALL SWEEPS SENIOR NIGHT: Laykin Herford had 36 digs to help the Lady Spartans in wins over Johnson (28-26, 25-17) and Prince Avenue (25-12, 25-21) on Thursday night.
Tonya Bennett had 14 kills for West Hall. Carrie Ruis had six digs and Kelsi Jones recorded five aces for the Lady Spartans.
West Hall (32-5, Area 7-2) starts its region tournament at Oconee on Thursday.
BUFORD SPLITS AT HOME: Maggie Roper had 20 kills, 20 digs and six aces for the Lady Wolves as they beat North Hall (23-25, 25-9, 25-15) and lost to Lambert (21-25, 12-25) Thursday at home. Jessica Falletta had 17 kills and 14 digs, while Bailey Hicks had 38 assists for Buford. Mikhayla Riegel added 23 digs on the night.
Buford (19-11, 6-1 Area 6-AA) begins its area tournament on Tuesday.
LAKEVIEW SWEEPS TRI-MATCH: Megan McIntire had 16 assists as the Lady Lions were victorious over East Hall (23-25, 25-18, 26-24) and Chestatee (25-15, 25-22). Jamie Nixon had 12 kills and five digs, while Katie White had four kills and three digs for Lakeview.
Brittany Campbell had 24 assists, 14 digs, eight aces and two kills as the Lady Vikings beat Chestatee (21-25, 25-18, 25-20). Kara Hix had eight digs, seven kills, five aces and an assist for East Hall.
Lakeview (18-14, 5-1 Area 8-A) plays at 5 p.m. Tuesday at East Hall Community Center in the first round of the area tournament.
East Hall (20-21, 4-2 Area 8-AA) plays at 6 p.m. on Tuesday against George Walton.
FLOWERY BRANCH CLINCHES NO. 1 SEED: Kenzie Grewett recorded 25 assists as the Lady Falcons beat Winder-Barrow twice (25-10, 25-23 and 25-15, 23-25, 25-19) Thursday night in Winder. Colleen Grider had seven kills for Flowery Branch.
The Lady Falcons (21-14, 8-2 Region 8-AAAA) start their region tournament at Haberhsam Central on Thursday.
