Jefferson sweeps quad-match

The Jefferson High volleyball team took all three matches in a home quad-match Tuesday night, beating Tallulah Falls (25-10, 25-14), Lakeview Academy (25-17, 25-19) and Morgan County (25-21, 25-10).

The Lady Dragons were led by Taylor Cramsey and her 20 kills, nine aces, three blocks and two assists. Amanda Daniel added 30 assists, 12 kills and seven aces, while Cassie Metcalf had eight aces, five kills and two assists for Jefferson.

Lakeview Academy won matches against Morgan County (25-16, 25-11) and Tallulah Falls (25-14, 25-15). The Lady Lions' Jamie Nixon had four kills and four aces, and Mona Abraham had five digs and three kills.

Lakeview (16-14, 4-1 Area 8-A) plays East Hall and Chestatee at 5 p.m. Thursday at East Hall.

Jefferson (26-7, 5-0 Area 8-AA) hosts Jackson County and Athens Christian at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

JOHNSON SWEEPS SENIOR KNIGHT: Sophia Love had seven assists and three kills for the Lady Knights Tuesday night in Oakwood as Johnson beat Eastside (20-25, 25-22, 25-22) and Walnut Grove (25-18, 25-21).

Kelly Chance added five aces and eight assists for the Lady Knights.

Johnson (16-15, 4-4 Region 8-AAA) visits West Hall for a tri-match with Prince Avenue Christian at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

LADY CHARGERS WIN AGAIN: North Georgia Christian beat the Grace Christian (25-6, 25-10, 25-3) on Tuesday night in Powder Springs. The Lady Chargers (9-3) faces Maranatha Christian at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Oakwood.

BUFORD SWEEPS TRI-MATCH: Bailey Hicks had 26 assists to help the Lady Wolves pull off wins against Hebron Christian (25-22, 25-23) and Yeshiva 25-8, 25-16 Tuesday in Dacula.

Jessica Falletta had 13 kills, seven digs and five aces, while Tori Patton added 15 assists and five aces for the Lady Wolves.

Buford (18-10, 5-1 Area 6-AA) hosts Lambert and North Hall for senior night at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

WEST HALL SPLITS HOME TRI-MATCH: The Lady Spartans lost to Oconee County (20-25, 25-20, 25-17) but celebrated its 30th win of the season with a win against North Hall (25-17, 25-19) on Tuesday night in Gainesville.

West Hall was led by Tonya Bennett's 19 kills, LeNeisha Kearse's 10 blocks, Summer Schmeltz's 15 digs and Laykin Hereford's 42 assists. Kelsi Jones also added 10 kills.

West Hall (30-5, 7-2 Area 8-AAA) hosts a tri-match with Johnson and Prince Avenue at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

WEST HALL 12, LANIER 7:
Victoria Tuttle had three hits for the Lady Spartans in a win Tuesday night in Sugar Hill. Winning pitcher Miranda Miller and Ashley Neal had multiple hit games for West Hall.

West Hall (11-12, 5-6 Region 8-AAA) hosts Gainesville at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.

JACKSON COUNTY 2, EAST JACKSON 0: Haley Shinall pitched a complete-game shutout with six strikeouts and went 1 for 3 with a run scored for the Lady Panthers on Thursday.

Jackson County's Alyssa Dasher also went 1 for 3 and scored the Lady Panthers' other run.

Jackson County (22-5, 9-1 Region 8-AA) visits North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. Thursday.

JEFFERSON 6, NORTH OCONEE 5: Savannah Snapp pitched a complete game and went 2 for 3 with two RBIs to lead the Lady Dragons to victory on Tuesday in Bogart.

Jefferson's Raegen Sandy went 3 for 4 with an RBI.

The Lady Dragons (11-17, 8-3 Region 8-AA) plays at 5 p.m. against Oglethorpe County.
