The Gainesville softball team defeated Chestatee 4-3 on Thursday.  

Katie Woods got the win in the pitching circle. Woods and Kaitlyn Roper each went 1 for 2 with a walk and a run scored, and Mikaylei Byrd went 1 for 2 with a walk and a run scored.  

The Lady Red Elephants return to action Thursday when they travel to Oconee County.

NORTH HALL 14, JOHNSON 2:

Courtney Gearin pitched the Lady Trojans to victory with seven strikeouts Thursday.

Carly DeLong had two hits, Alyx Kanaday had three hits, and Ellie Forrester had two hits for North Hall.
