The Flowery Branch volleyball team notched a victory against Chestatee on Monday night at Lambert, beating the War Eagles 25-22, 25-15.

Kenzie Grewett had two aces, five kills and nine assists for the Lady Falcons to go along with Brittani Hill’s three kills, two digs and one ace.

Amber Merchant also added three aces, two kills and an assist.

Flowery Branch (10-12, 5-2 8-AAAA) hosts Rabun County and Clark-Central at 5 p.m. today and will honor the Lady Falcon seniors.

WHITE COUNTY WINS TOURNAMENT

The Lady Warriors captured the Gold Bracket championship at the North Fall Classic with wins over Banks County and Flowery Branch and a loss to Lumpkin County this weekend.

Callie McDonald had pitched White County to its two wins and had a double, three singles and two RBIs.

Heather Herdiska and Kristin Mullis each had home runs during the tournament.

The Lady Warriors (12-6, 5-3 Region 8-AAA) travel to play Lanier at 5:55 p.m. today.
