Jefferson swept a tri-match versus East Jackson 25-6, 26-24 and Johnson 25-16, 25-17 Thursday.
Taylor Cramsey led the Lady Dragons with six aces, 17 kills and two blocks in wins.

Jefferson’s Amanda Daniel had four aces, six kills, 33 assists and two digs, while Sarah Wood chipped in six kills and four assists.

The Lady Dragons (14-5, 3-0 Region 8-AA) play at North Oconee at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

LADY CHARGERS FALL TO LADY PATRIOTS: The North Georgia Christian Lady Chargers fell to the Cumberland Christian Lady Patriots in four games in Gainesville Thursday night.

After winning the first game 25-18, the Lady Chargers dropped the next three games 21-25, 16-25, and 19-25. The Lady Chargers (6-2) host Horizon Christian Academy at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

LADY TROJANS SPLIT PAIR: North Hall started pool play in the Collins Hill Classic with matches against South Forsyth and Collins Hill Thursday night in Suwanee. North Hall won their match against South Forsyth 13-25, 25-20, 15-13 before losing 25-18, 25-20 against Collins Hill.

Sarah Paschall had 18 digs, two assists and one ace and Kristina Gregory added 13 assists, four aces two kills and a block for the Lady Trojans.

North Hall (12-10, 3-1 Region 8-AAA) plays Mountain View at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Collins Hill.

EAST HALL SETS RECORD: Brittney Cambell had two aces, six kills, 36 assists and 11 digs to lead the Lady Vikings to their school record 19th win of the season, defeating Lumpkin County 25-17, 25-15 and Rabun County 25-20, 25-18 before losing to Pinecrest Academy 25-21, 19-25, 25-10.

Tarryn Long had 10 aces, 28 kills, an assist and 13 digs for East Hall.

The Lady Vikings (19-18, 4-1 Region 8-AA) play next at Habersham Central at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Softball

BUFORD WINS TWO: Daniella Dlugasch (1-0) earned her first career victory in the Lady Wolves win against Clarkston 15-0 in three innings Thursday in Buford.

In the second game, Buford defeated Wookstock 8-3. Rebekah Rude (2-0) went 4 2/3 in the pitching circle and earned the win before Bria Bush came in to finish the game. Bush tallied four strikeouts and gave up one hit.

Kodi Ricketson went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs and scored two runs for the Lady Wolves.

Buford’s Lexi Overstreet had a double, knocked in two RBIs and scored a run, and Madyson Wynegar hit a triple.

The Lady Wolves (16-7, 1-1 Region 6-AA) hosts Decatur at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

JACKSON COUNTY 8, HART COUNTY 2: Madison Whitmire went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored as the Lady Panther won Tuesday night.

Jackson County’s Mason Garland went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and scored a run scored, while Macey Latty went 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Haley Shinall picked up the region win with five strikeouts in seven innings.

The Lady Panthers (16-3, 7-1 Region 8-AA) will play at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday against Elbert County.

FLOWERY BRANCH WINS REGION MATCH: Kenzi Grewett had three aces two kills and 13 assists for the Lady Falcons as Flowery Branch beat Salem in two games on Thursday in Conyers.

Amber Merchant had 3 kills and two blocks, and Brittani Hill had four kills and a block for the Lady Falcons.

Flowery Branch (9-12, 4-2 Region 8-AAAA) plays a tri-match on Monday with Lambert and Chestatee in Suwanee.
