Kelly Chance had 22 assists and 13 aces for Johnson in a pair of wins over Lumpkin County (25-8, 25-8) and Lanier (25-17, 25-8) on Tuesday in Sugar Hill.

LeJavian Ratliff added 11 kills and seven digs for the Lady Knights (12-5, 2-1), and Savannah Turk had 13 kills. Christina Petit recorded six aces and three kills, and Karis Sloan added five kills.

Johnson travels to Jefferson for a tri-match with Monroe and Jefferson on Thursday in Jefferson.

BUFORD SPLITS TWO: Maggie Roper led the Lady Wolves with 18 kills and 16 digs in a win over East Hall (26-24, 22-25, 25-18) and a loss to St. Pius X (23-25, 25-14, 25-22) on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Kaitlin Tatum added 14 kills for Buford (10-10), and Tori Payton had 32 assists.

Buford returns to action against South Forsyth and Pinecrest Academy on Thursday in Buford.

Brittney Campbell had 31 assists and 11 digs for East Hall in the loss to Buford and a loss to St. Pius X (25-15, 25-15).

Tarryn Long added 18 kills and 14 digs for the Lady Vikings (16-7, 2-2) and Kara Hix had 36 digs.

East Hall will play at the Darlington Invitational on Saturday in Rome.

JEFFERSON BEATS RABUN COUNTY: Sarah Wood led Jefferson with 32 kills and three aces in a win over Rabun County (25-21, 25-15), and losses to Wesleyan (25-16, 25-14) and Greater Atlanta Christian (18-25, 25-15, 25-12) on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Daniela Franco had six kills and six assists for the Lady Dragons (15-6, 1-2), and Grace Williamson added 22 assists, three kills and three aces. Paige Watson recorded 18 assists.

Jefferson plays host to Monroe Area and Johnson on Thursday in Jefferson.

FLOWERY BRANCH SPLITS PAIR: Autumn Luken had 15 kills on the night for the Lady Falcons in a region win over Heritage (25-18, 25-21) and a loss to Oconee (25-8, 25-12).

Jessie Justice added five digs for Flowery Branch, and Colleen Grider had six aces and three kills. Gabrielle Burke had 10 assists.

Flowery Branch travels to Lambert on Thursday in Cumming.

GAINESVILLE BEATS LAKEVIEW: Anna Walker recorded 28 kills and five aces for Gainesville in a win over Lakeview (21-25, 25-23, 25-22) and a loss to Apalachee (25-17, 21-25, 20-25).

Kaylin Walden added 55 assists for the Lady Red Elephants (14-6, 3-1), and Stasha Hopkins had 22 kills. Lauren Carter had 10 digs, and Grace Miller had four blocks and three kills.

Gainesville faces Chestatee and Clarke Central on Thursday in Gainesville.

Bailey Towles recorded 19 digs, 10 assists, and seven aces for Lakeview Academy in the loss to Gainesville and a loss to Apalachee (25-21, 23-25, 22-25).

Katie White added 18 digs, 11 kills and two aces for the Lady Lions (14-12), and Shelby Ross had 11 blocks, five aces and five kills. Samantha Versteeg had 20 digs.

Lakeview travels to Prince Avenue on Sept. 18 in Athens.

HERITAGE LOSES TO LOGANVILLE: Heritage Academy lost to Loganville Christian in three matches by scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-16 on Tuesday. No other information was provided.


Morgan McKinney had five strikeouts for Jefferson in a 1-0 win over Washington-Wilkes on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Lindsey Miles was 1 for 3 with the lone run scored for the Lady Dragons (8-11, 4-1 Region 8-AA), and Jordan Phillips was 1 for 3.

Jefferson plays host to Union County on Thursday in Jefferson.

BUFORD 12, BANKS COUNTY 0: Drew Puckett was 2 for 3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and a pair of runs scored for Buford in a shutout victory on Tuesday in Buford.

Noah Sudderth was 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs for the Lady Wolves (13-1), and Jordan Deep had a home run in the first inning and a pair off RBIs. Remington Hasty had two RBIs, and Alexis Baldy went 2 for 2 with an RBI.

Buford travels to East Hall for another Region 7-AAA game on Thursday in Gainesville.

UNION COUNTY 5, DAWSON COUNTY 2 (MONDAY): Bailey Byers had a two-run home run for Union County in the win on Monday in Dawsonville.

Hannah Hughes went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for the Lady Panthers (14-4). Crystal Busbee picked up the win from the circle and was 1 for 3 with two runs scored at the plate.

Union County travels to Jefferson on Thursday in Jefferson.
