Johnson’s Montrell McKenzie finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 61-58 win against Lakeview Academy on Tuesday in Oakwood. Carter Cagle had 15 points and six rebounds for the Knights, Roderick English had 10 points, and Drew Dunham chipped in seven points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Austin Montgomery led Lakeview Academy throughout the game, tallying 30 points and 10 rebounds. Joel Larsen added 10 points for the Lions.
Johnson visits Lanier on Friday in Sugar Hill, while Lakeview Academy plays host to Lumpkin County on Friday in Gainesville.
LAKEVIEW GIRLS 65, JOHNSON 32: Taylor Handte led Lakeview Academy with 14 points in Oakwood.
Schyler Miller and Katie White each added 11 points for Lakeview (2-1), and Danielle Morgan had eight.
For Johnson, Ariel Collins and Sarah Hodge led the team with nine points each.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 55, LUMPKIN COUNTY 36: Tyler Dominy led the Tigers with 17 points in a win over Lumpkin County on Tuesday in Dahlonega.
Lucas Pain added 12 points for Dawson County.
Lumpkin County was led by Jonathan Gilreath with 10 points and Daniel McCrary with six.

CHESTATEE BOYS 74, PICKENS 65: Justin Jones tallied 27 points for the War Eagles in a win over Pickens on Tuesday.
Keelan Passmore added 16 for Chestatee, and Jordan Stubblefield had 12.
The War Eagles visit Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Toccoa.

ST. PIUS GIRLS 50, WEST HALL 19: Maia Booker had a team-leading seven points as the Lady Spartans fell to St. Pius on Monday in Atlanta.
Kaelyn Gattis had four points and eight rebounds for West Hall (2-1).

NORTH GEORGIA GIRLS 46, HORIZON CHRISTIAN 38 (MONDAY): The Lady Chargers defeated Horizon Christian Academy 46-38 on Monday night in Cumming. Julianne Sutton paced the Lady Chargers with a double-double effort, netting 19 points and 17 rebounds. Sarah Rhodes tallied 10 points, Jordan Ball had eight and Nicole Ball scored five points.
The Lady Chargers (2-1) face Unity Christian on Friday in Flowery Branch.
Wrestling
East Hall improved to 5-1 on the season with a 42-38 win over Winder-Barrow on Monday.
Varsity wins came from Will Davidson, CJ Guadlock, Edward Vergara, Corey Reese, Tyler Thomas, Kintavious Johnson and J.D. Holloway.
East Hall returns to action in the Panther Invitational at Jackson County High starting Friday in Jefferson.
