The Johnson boys fell to Class AAAAA North Cobb 51-36 Tuesday in the Johnson Tip-Off Classic championship game.

Johnson was led by Matt Hollis with 16 points and Montrell McKenzie with 8 points. North Cobb (3-0) was led by Jordan Neff and Saxon Steele with nine points each.

The Knights trailed 39-26 going into the fourth quarter, but rallied to cut the lead to seven with four minutes to go before falling short to the Warriors.

Johnson (1-2) returns to action Wednesday at Lakeview.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 48, WEST HALL 29: Tavia Skyes had a game high 18 points as the Lady Falcons advanced past the second round of the Jefferson Tournament on Tuesday. Cara Chilton added 14 points for Flowery Branch.

Tori Alfredson and Kaelyn Gattis led the Lady Spartans (0-3) in scoring with six points apiece.

West Hall plays Franklin County at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
