High school scoreboard: North Hall boys rally from big hole to beat West Forsyth

The North Hall boys rallied from a 17-point first-half hole to beat West Forsyth 65-58 on Saturday in Cleveland. After falling down big early, the Trojans (7-4) had a 48-30 scoring edge over the Wolverines in the second half.

For North Hall, Evan Easton was the leading scorer with 22 points (18 in the second half). Alden Lewallen scored 14 for the Trojans.

On Tuesday, North Hall hosts Jefferson at 6 p.m.

WEST FORSYTH GIRLS 50, NORTH HALL 43: Tatum McQuillen, Niki Carver and Caroline Hearn each finished with nine points for the Lady Trojans (6-5) on Saturday in Cleveland. On Tuesday, North Hall hosts Jefferson at 6 p.m.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 79, MARIETTA 62: Bailey Minor scored 17 points for the Red Elephants in the semifinals of the Carrollton Christmas tournament on Saturday. Michael White scored 15 points for the Red Elephants (9-0), while Brent Kelly finished with 13.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 48, PEBBLEBROOK 36: Taylor Hawks led the Lady Red Elephants with 20 points and Tija Blackwell added eight points in the Carrollton Christmas Tournament on Saturday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 45, DACULA 29: Macy Passmore scored 19 points as the Lady Spartans picked up their sixth-straight win on Saturday. Anna McKendree chipped in seven points for West Hall.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 40, FORSYTH CENTRAL 29: The Lady War Eagles built a 15-point halftime lead to move their record to 12-0 on the season. Lindsey Caudell was Chestatee’s leading scorer with 15 points.

On Monday, Chestatee opens play in the Jones County Christmas tournament in Gray.

BUFORD GIRLS 63, DULUTH 45: Jessica Nelson scored a team-high 14 points for the Lady Wolves (7-0) on Saturday in the Gwinnett Challenge at Grayson High in Loganville. On Tuesday, Buford hosts Morgan County at 6 p.m.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 48, JEFFERSON 44: The Tigers rallied after trailing by six points heading into the final period. Joseph Cronan led the Tigers (6-5) with 18 points, while Campbell Reed scored nine points.

Dawson County hosts Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Dawsonville.

JEFFERSON GIRLS 65, DAWSON COUNTY 45: Abi Chatham hit four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 14 points for the Lady Tigers in Jefferson. Kaylee Sticker finished with 13 for Dawson County.

Dawson County hosts Habersham Central at 6 p.m. Monday in Dawsonville.
