High School Scoreboard: North Hall basketball teams sweep Monroe Area in region opener
Carson Heinen leads the boys with 16 points, Chloe Barrett scores 12 for the girls

The North Hall boys basketball team had four players score in double figures as they defeated Monroe Area 52-46 Friday night in Gainesville.

Carson Heinen led the way with 16 points. Evan Easton scored 14, Harrison Harper had 12 and Sam Jackson added 10 points.

North Hall (10-4, 1-0 8-AAAA) hosts Habersham Central today at 5:30 p.m.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 60, MONROE AREA 39: Chloe Barrett registered a team-high 12 points for the Lady Trojans Friday night.

Teammates Taylor Anne Kelley, Tatum McQuillen and Ansley Louis all had nine points apiece.

North Hall (9-6, 1-0 8-AAAA) hosts Habersham Central today at 4 p.m.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 60, TOWNS COUNTY 39: Tre Gober scored 15 and Evan Pitts added 12 for the Lions Friday night.

Daniel Fadool scored 10 points and Josh Randolph secured 10 rebounds.

Lakeview Academy (12-3, 4-0 8-A) hosts George Walton Academy at 4:30 p.m. today

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 79, TOWNS COUNTY 31: Hanna Grogan led the Lady Lions with 16 points Friday night.

Halee Cash scored 12, Ryann Moody had 11 and Christen Copeland added 10 points for Lakeview.

Lakeview Academy (11-5, 4-0 8-A) hosts George Walton today at 3 p.m.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 34, STEPHENS COUNTY 30: Lindsey Caudell finished with 10 points, Kayla Watson put in nine and Peri Satterfield had six Friday night.

The Lady War Eagles outscored Stephens County 13-8 in the fourth quarter.

Chestatee (7-9, 1-0 8-AAAA) hosts Forsyth Central at 4 p.m. today

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 40, FANNIN COUNTY 26: Tigers’ Gabe Bryant had eight points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, while Cullen Reed scored a game-high 17 points Friday night in Blue Ridge.

Ryan Gallenkamp contributed with eight points for Dawson County.

Dawson County (8-8, 1-5) hosts West Hall 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 62, FANNIN COUNTY 33: Karlie Bearden and Haley Burgess each scored 14 points to lead the Lady Tigers Friday night in Blue Ridge.

Katelynn Simpson scored nine and Kaylee Sticker had five, as 11 Dawson County players scored points.

Dawson County (16-0, 5-0 7-AAA) hosts West Hall 6 p.m. Tuesday.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 69, LUMPKIN COUNTY 65: Kahmal Wiley was the Leopards’ leading scorer with 20 points and 11 rebounds on Friday. Zez Steeple chipped in with 19 points for Banks County, and Zac Orr finished with 10.

Banks County (14-2, 5-0 7-AAA) hosts Buford today at 5:30 p.m., while Lumpkin County (13-4, 4-2) travels to Jackson County today at 7:30 p.m.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 63, LUMPKIN COUNTY 30: Gabby Kennedy led the Lady Leopard attack with 17 points Friday night.

Teammate Jaylyn Lack added eight points and Taylor Parson and Mallory Parson both finished with six.

Banks County (10-6, 2-3 7-AAA) hosts Buford today at 4 p.m., while Lumpkin County (5-12, 1-5) travels to Jackson County today at 6 p.m.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 61, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 60: The Eagles’ Davis Short totaled 20 points as the comeback effort was not enough to overtake the Warriors.

Juwan Thompson hit two 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Wiley Burns and Javon Thompson added nine and eight points respectively for the Eagles.

Riverside Military (6-6) visits Greene County 6 p.m. Tuesday, while White County (12-5) hosts North Oconee 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
