The North Georgia Christian Lady Chargers advanced to the GICAA Division III championship game by defeating the Unity Lady Lions 2-2 (3-2 on penalty kicks) Tuesday evening.

Esther Lloyd and Sally McLagan both scored for the Lady Chargers before Morgan Gibbs and Georgia Clark converted penalty kicks to send North Georgia Christian into Friday’s title game against Westminster Christian (Athens). Kick off is at 7 p.m. at Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville.

SAVANNAH ARTS ACADEMY 2, WEST HALL GIRLS 1: Danielle Ortega scored in the 15th minute, but the Lady Spartans fell on the road to Savannah Arts Tuesday evening in the second round of the state playoffs.

Izabel Salgado had the assist, while goalkeeper Lucy Ibarra recorded 16 saves. Senior striker Reachel Beaulieu was forced to the sideline after three minutes, and head coach Adam Johnson said she may have suffered a slight collarbone fracture.
