The Johnson boys soccer team took a lead into halftime and held on to win 2-1 against Columbus in the first round of the Class AAAA state tournament on Wednesday in Oakwood. Armando Abarca found Fabian Abarca who put it in the net for the Knights with 7:41 left in the first half. Johnson went up 2-0 as Jonathan Mendoza scored on a pass from Jonathan Gillham with 10 minutes left in play.
