Cris Araya and Alind Amedi each scored in regulation time for Flowery Branch in a 3-2 win against Apalachee on Friday night in Winder. The tie game finished 4-2 in penalty kicks scored by Leo Manzo, Adrian Lagranda, Kevin Restrepo and Thomas Davis for the Falcons.
Luis Teran recorded 13 saves in goal with three saves in penalty kicks for Flowery Branch.

JACKSON COUNTY 13, EAST JACKSON 2: Quinn Grogan led the Panthers (8-6, 4-4 Region 8-AA South) going 2 for 3 with a grand slam and four RBIs, while earning the win on Friday night in Commerce. Andy Williams went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs for Jackson County, Jesse Tallent went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two runs scored, and Chase Dunlap was 2 for 3 with a double and four RBIs.
The Panthers visit North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. Monday.
GAINESVILLE 11, STEPHENS COUNTY 2: Hunter Anglin led the Red Elephants (15-0, 10-0 Region 8-AAA South) with a home run and two RBIs in an 11-2 win against Stephens County on Friday night in Toccoa. Ryan Griffith had three hits and one RBI for Gainesville, and Michael Gettys had two hits and one RBI, while earning the win with eight strikeouts in five innings.
The Red Elephants visit Lanier at 5:55 p.m. Monday.
LUMPKIN COUNTY 6, JOHNSON 3: Trae Wilson went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double for the Knights (9-6) on Friday night in Dahlonega. A.J. Benefield went 3 for 4 with a double and one RBI for Johnson.

Jeremy McClure went 2 for 3 with two runs scored for White County, Montana Saine went 2 for 4 with a double and Justin Hester earned the win.

BANKS COUNTY SWEEPS RABUN COUNTY: Taylor Foster led the Leopards (8-5, 7-2 Region 8-AA North) in Game 1, allowing only two hits in seven innings with 10 strikeouts in a 1-0 win.
Taylor Foster’s pinch-hit, two RBI double with the bases loaded and one out made the score 10-9. Billy Hudgens hit a two-out, two-RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Leopards a come-from-behind 11-10 victory. Brenton Ruark went 4 for 4 with two doubles, one triple, two runs scored and two RBIs for Banks County, and Hudgens went 2 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.
EAST HALL SPLITS WITH UNION COUNTY: The Panthers got an early 3-1 lead on the Vikings in the first inning of Union County’s 4-2 win on Friday night in Gainesville. East Hall came back in Game 2, scoring seven runs in the third inning to take a 8-3 win.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 5, GEORGE WALTON 0 (THURSDAY): Singles players Lee Allen Martin, Seth Black and Connor Thomas each recorded wins for the Lions on Thursday afternoon in Gainesville.
