The Gainesville men’s golf team overcame a 14-stroke deficit after one round to win it’s third-straight Georgia-South Carolina Cup on Saturday at Willow Creek Country Club in Greer, S.C. The Red Elephants shot 314 in the first round and 300 in the second for a total of 614 to clip Christ Church Episcopal School (S.C.) by two strokes. Gainesville’s Spencer Ralston was named to the all-tournament team after posting a 76 and 72, for a two day total of 148 (+4). Lawson King (74-78), Nathan Williams (80-77), Jackson Bishop (84-73) and Grant Lasseter (84-79) rounded out the Red Elephant scores.
